Welcome to the Pendleton Historic Foundation

We are a not-for-profit educational organization dedicated to restoring, preserving, and interpreting Pendleton's rich history.  We lovingly care for historic properties and enthusiastically tell their stories as we share our area’s diverse history and culture.

GHOST TOUR UPDATE! Continue to explore our haunted halls on upcoming Friday and Saturday nights, now through November 1st! Just click on the RSVP tab under the Ghost Tour listings below to see and register for all available dates!

Enjoy Historic House Tours!
Check out tour information by clicking on the Tour Ashtabula and Woodburn tab above.

Stop by the Visitor Center located in the Guard House at the historic Pendleton Town Square.
As volunteer availability allows, we strive to be open Thursday through Saturday afternoons. Inside you’ll find information about places to visit in our Lake Hartwell Country area, local history books to purchase, and a few displays showcasing aspects of Pendleton days gone by.

Volunteer Opportunities
Help us share Pendleton’s rich history as a volunteer. We have a variety of roles that include giving tours, welcoming visitors, helping with events, grounds and building maintenance, and taking care of behind-the-scenes tasks. For more information, please contact us at 864-646-7249 or pendleton.hf@gmail.com.
