Step Into the Past-New Remains Discovered at Woodburn:
Saturday, August 7, 10 AM: A recent discovery at Woodburn Historical House is shedding new light on how the former plantation's farm was operated. While working on clearing portions of the museum home's historical trail, the foundation and wall of the horse barn and the blacksmith's barn were discovered. For $3 per person, the building's remains will be available for public viewing. Guests wishing to see the house after the walking tour is complete may do so for an additional $4 per person. The 1/2 mile round trip is considered "easy" walking down, and "moderate" hiking up, so sturdy walking shoes or hiking boots are recommended. Those wishing to tour Woodburn Historical House without first taking the tour may do so for the regular rate of $6 per person, beginning at 11 AM. A special tour of Ashtabula will also be scheduled for 2 PM at the regular rate of$6 per person.
