Volunteer
Your Time
Volunteers are needed to give tours of the houses and their grounds, work in our gift shops, participate in historical
reenactments and assist with research and writing scripts. You can help improve our landscaping
or volunteer to provide any special skills you have from gardening to carpentry. Volunteers are also needed for
administrative tasks including maintaining visitation statistis, mailing lists, helping with newsletter and publicity.

Special
Events:
The Foundation sponsors a number of special events per
year. A large number of volunteers are critical
to their success.
- Historic Reenactments: Two
per year featuring events from the mid-1800's
when Pendleton was in its hayday. Come play
the part of a character from the past. Costumes
and scripts are provided.
- Annual large-ticket fundraising benefit
gala
- Annual membership dinner in May
- Victorian Teas

Rent
the grounds of one of our historic houses for a family
wedding or reception.
Woodburn is a popular site for outside weddings
and receptions from April through October. During
2006, these historic houses were the sites for 14 weddings
and/or receptions with a total of over 3,000 guests.
Come join our volunteer group who works with the
bridal party and receiption hosts as they set up for
these events. Training will be provided.
