Reenactors at Woodburn

A living historty encampment on the grounds of Ashtabula hosted by the 2nd South Carolina Regimental Rifles SC Volunteers and 2nd Field Hospital. House open for tours with Pendleton Historic Foundation guides. Demonstration of military live and drilling all day. On Saturday, "Kathy & the Leftovers" will provid period music for dancing demonstratin of Virginia Reel.


 
 
 

 

Christmas at Ashtabula Candlelight Tours
Dec 5, 6, 7, 2008

Fri & Sat, 5:30 - 8:00 PM Sunday, 2-4:30 PM

 
Reenactment  of an 1800's Christmas featuring a different theme each year with  vigenettes in 5-7 rooms. There will be  period decorations, music and refreshments.

The theme for 2008 has yet to be determined. the 2007 was"A Quiet Evening at Home"including a small Civil War encampment. The driveway will be lined with luminaries.  Tours will leave every 10 minuets.

Reservations are recommended to avoid a potential wait outside. 
Over 600 visitors attend ourChristmas reenactment each year.

Adults $6, Children $3 (ages 5 - 10)

An Evening under the Stars on the lawn of Woodburn Historic House benefiting the Foundation's Preservation Endowment For Ashtabula & Woodburn.

  • Music performances by Clemson University String Quarette
  • Buffett provided by numerous local restaurants 
  • Dancing under the stars with a live DJ Ben Phillips

Vistorian Tea and Tour
Victorian Tea served on the "piazza' followed by a tour with guides in historical costume and lecture on a featured topic.  Please call for dates and charges.
